This comprehensive 300-hours certification training includes LEVEL 1 (12 live online classes) and our 10-day hands-on, live workshop retreats, called LEVEL 2&3. Includes: LEVEL 1 - The 12-Online Classes

The training (LEVEL 1) consists of a series of 12-online classes held live over the course of 3-month. LEVEL 1 will launch February 8th, 2025!!! The 12-online classes are held each week (Saturday’s 9-11am PST), but are also recorded for later viewing. Students receive a 300-page professional training manual, a rich collection of treatment demo videos and access to a professional student forum. In LEVEL 1, you will learn all the important technical and intuitive elements that make this timeless medicine such a sacred and powerful addition to any healing practice.

Plus: LEVEL 2&3 - The 10-Day Workshop Retreats

The training also includes a 10-day practicum (LEVEL 2&3) for live, hands-on learning. The 10-day practicum is a workshop retreat, a time to observe, give and receive all these wonderful treatments, including; Abhyanga, Swedana, Marma, Shirodhara, Basti, Netra, Nasya, Pinda, Udvartana, Lepana, Upanaham, Pichu and more. The workshop retreats (LEVEL 2&3) offer an interactive and fully immersive experience and give a greater insights into the depth of this ancient healing science. You will study, practice and also receive the ancient healing treatments in a beautiful and restorative workshop setting, while enjoying Ayurvedic meals, and optional yoga and meditation classes.

Following this, students receive an additional 3-month of guided supervision in order to gain the needed experience and confidence before graduating from the training. This last part will be done remotely and there is no extra charge for this. Students simply have the chance to practice the learned material on friends and family, receive feedback and discuss their progress with their instructor. The 300-hour professional takes typically 6-month to complete, though students can also take this training in a self-paced format.

Modalities you will learn in the 10-Day Workshop Retreats

You will learn the application of the five major actions of Pancha Karma (vamana, virechana, basti, nasya and rakta mokshana) and explore the fundamentals of Marma therapy, learn the complete set of Ayurvedic sense therapies, plus dry/wet udvartana, lepas, silk-glove massage, indian head massage, foot treatment, Ayurvedic facials and more. Students will also learn the following classic PanchaKarma treatments:

Abhyanga - is the classic Ayurvedic oil massage that uses the skillful application of medicinal oils with specific nurturing strokes. It activates the energetic centers (Marma points), breaks up impurities, and stimulates arterial and lymphatic circulation. Learn how to perform this treatment alone and in synchrony with another technician.

Swedhana - is an herbal medicinal steam therapy that can be administered locally to specific body parts or for the entire physiology. (Except for the head, which is always kept cool). It allows oils to penetrate deeply into the tissues and also removes toxins.

Shirodhara - is the pouring of medicinal liquids (oil, buttermilk, ghee) across the forehead. It specifically nurtures the pituitary gland and therefor relaxes the entire nervous system by brining the whole being, body-mind-spirit, to feeling a profound sense of peace and calm.

Marma Therapy - learn the fundamental principles of Marma Therapy and how to locate them and how to use sound, touch, aroma and intention to direct the flow of Prana (Life-force) for profound healing. Apply Marma therapy for clinical practice during PanchaKarma or as a extra relaxing technique during bodywork.

Udvartana - is a brisk massage that uses herbal powders and pastes to stimulate the release of toxins and supports the removal of excess fatty tissue. Udvartana can be used dry or when mixed with oils. It stimulates the lymphatic fluids to cleanse while the herbs absorb deeply into the skin, further detoxing the body.

Pinda Swedhna - is a cooling therapy using herbal rice bolus bags warmed in a specialized milk decoction and vigorously massaged into the skin to reduce inflammation and rejuvenate the body.

Nasya - is the classic sinus and nasal treatment designed to open up the channels of the upper body to allow more Pranic energy to enter. It includes an enlivening Indian head massage, localized steam, and the use of an assortment of nasal concoctions.

Netra Tarpana - involves the use of a variety of methods and techniques such as the bathing of the eyes in ghee, eye drops, and purification through herbal smoke to alleviate eye conditions.

Karna Purana - uses a specific ear massage and the application of herbal decoctions to relieve earaches and other ear related problems.

Certification and Credits

The Ayurvedic Sacred Bodywork™ and PanchaKarma vocational, technical training consists of a total of 300 professional training hours and takes as little as six months to complete. It includes 12 online, live classes (LEVEL 1) and a 10-day workshop retreat for hands-on learning, LEVEL 2 &3. After that follows a 3-month period of supervised, continued learning (LEVEL 4), done remotely.

The 300-hours are comprised as followed:

LEVEL 1 - 12 online classes--50 hrs

Plus related reading, tests, homework and study assignments--150 hrs

LEVEL 2 and 3 - Our 10 Day Workshop Retreats--80 hrs

PLUS - Supervised remote practicum--20 hrs (Included, no extra fee!)

The Maharani Academy™ is an organizational/educational member, approved by N.A.M.A. to provide students with PACE credits. Through taking this training, students can earn up to 28 NAMA PACE credits after completion of the program. (Note: Students need to be Student members of the organization in order to receive PACE credits).
